Ms Kirstan Corben (GAICD)

Board Chair

Kirstan is widely recognised for her leadership in public health, particularly in the areas of sport and physical activity, mental health and wellbeing, healthy eating, alcohol and tobacco control, and health equity. She has driven transformational change across Alfred Health and the broader Victorian health system, embedding prevention as a core focus. Her career began in the community health sector, where she held leadership, health promotion, and clinical roles, and is now the CEO of Better Place Australia. Kirstan continues to contribute voluntarily to several organisations in the mental health and community sport sectors and maintains strong professional and personal connections with communities in Melbourne’s inner southern region. Kirstan’s community focus helps her contribute as a Director on the Board of South East Melbourne Primary Health Network (SEMPHN).

In addition to Chairing the Board, Kirstan is the Co-Chair of the Community Advisory Group.
