Dr Kyle Turner is from Dubbo in rural New South Wales, his family’s Wiradjuri country. As an Epidemiologist, Kyle has previously published widely on the burden of chronic disease – with a heavy focus on prevention. He previously taught at the University of Melbourne and the University of Oxford. Today, he is the Investment Manager at Ochre Ventures – a $32M venture capital fund that invests in First Nation businesses. Kyle is determined to help build a wave of First Nation entrepreneurs, which will in turn bring about self-determination and economic independence. Prior to Ochre, Kyle founded Pearlii, an AI diagnostics company, providing over 200,000 free dental check-ups around the globe, with its core IP acquired in 2024.
Kyle is a member of the Community Advisory Group and the Quality and Safety Committee.
