Deputy Board Chair
Damian is a registered nurse with more than 34 years of clinical and leadership experience in the United Kingdom and major public health services in Melbourne. Damian has substantial expertise in leading the delivery of care for marginalised and at-risk populations throughout all stages of life. Currently, he is the Executive Director, Clinical Excellence & Systems Improvement at The Royal Women’s Hospital, where he oversees Strategy, Planning, Performance, and Systems Improvement, as well as Quality and Safety, and the Women’s Capital Development Program. His personal experience within the LGBTQIA+ community deeply underpins his commitment to enabling equitable access to safe high-quality care, and to achieving positive health outcomes and exceptional experiences of care through effective consumer partnerships.
Damian currently serves as Deputy Board Chair. He also chairs the Governance, Nominations and Remuneration Committee, and is a member of the Quality and Safety Committee.
