Men’s Family Violence Case Management
Support for men at risk
Men’s Family Violence Case Management provides specialised, trauma-informed support for men who are using, or are at risk of using, family violence. The service assists men to address the complex factors that may contribute to their behaviour, while maintaining a strong focus on victim survivor safety, child wellbeing, accountability, and positive behaviour change.
Through individual case management, men receive practical support to access services that can help address issues commonly linked to the use of family violence, including:
- Mental health concerns
- Alcohol and other drug use
- Housing instability and homelessness
- Financial stress and hardship
- Relationship and family challenges
- Legal issues
- Social isolation and lack of support networks
Case managers work collaboratively with clients to identify their needs, assess and manage risk, develop safety plans, and connect them with appropriate specialist services. The service aims to reduce the risk factors associated with the use of violence and support men to build healthier relationships, improve emotional regulation, strengthen coping skills, and increase accountability for their behaviour.
