Interim Chief Operating Officer
Wayne brings over 20 years of experience in the specialist homelessness services system, along with deep knowledge of adjacent sectors including child, youth and family services, health, and local government. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of WAYSS, where he was responsible for leading Victoria’s largest portfolio of youth homelessness services, in addition to adult and family homelessness programs, justice initiatives, and integrated family response services.
Wayne is currently a Board Member of the Council to Homeless Persons and has held previous executive roles at Melbourne City Mission, where he led key portfolios including mental health, family violence, and youth homelessness services. With a clinical background in nursing, Wayne has played a central role in embedding trauma-informed practice and developing innovative models of care across complex service environments.
